fear of dogs

people act like your some tortured soul when you mention youre afraid of dogs. like hello? dogs are just unsettling? i know its irrational to freak out when i see a small dog like a chihuahua or a even a larger dog like a sheparding dog, but they still freak me out. they react to everything, and i mean everything. i like going on walks and whenever i walk past a house with a dog or a few of them they run out of the house and bark at me and follow me to the end of their yard. i know theyre probably friendly and just want my attention, but you dont know what a dog is going to do until it does it. also sometimes those dogs look physically capapble of jumping those fences, so like its completely possible that they could jump the fence and chase me farther.
